From an Email to a Movement: The Story of The Circadian Helpdesk

On the 4th of March 2024, I received an email that would shape the next chapter of our Circadian journey. Steve introduced himself—bringing a wealth of experience with Tenet and deep expertise in intelliflo office (iO). We hit it off straight away, and what followed was a month-long series of conversations, ideas, and planning.

Despite speaking with others in the market, it became clear that Steve brought something different—not just technical knowledge, but a shared vision for something bigger.

Together, we began designing a bespoke helpdesk service tailored for intelliflo users—a solution offering real-time support for the new advice journey, the PFP portal, associated apps, and comprehensive training packages. It was something we believed to be truly unique in the marketplace.

On Tuesday 26th March 2024, Steve officially joined the team. No clients. Just a bold idea and a shared belief in our abilities—and in each other.

We launched The Circadian Helpdesk and hit the ground running—networking, holding Teams meetings, canvassing, posting across socials—doing everything to get the word out.
Then came a turning point.

On 9th April 2024, we received an email from a well-established advice firm whose growing size meant they now needed dedicated iO expertise. After just one Teams meeting, we were invited to meet in person on 26th April—a meeting that involved some serious travel plans for Steve (but nothing is ever too much for him!).

The meeting was a roaring success, and by 1st May 2024, Steve was already delivering his services and demonstrating exactly why we believed in this project so strongly.
Just over a month later, on 4th June 2024, we had the privilege of showcasing our services at the intelliflo Conference 2024, joined by our income specialist colleague, Matt Fairman.
Since then, the service has continued to grow and evolve.

Every firm is different. Every configuration is unique. But with every new challenge, our skills grow, our knowledge deepens, and our ability to support firms becomes even more refined.
Has it been smooth sailing from day one? Of course not. Nothing worth building ever is. But the vision remains. The energy remains. And our belief in what we’re building remains stronger than ever.
I’ve always wanted to expand our service offerings. This collaboration has made that possible—and we’re only just getting started. Who knows, maybe Steve’s apprentice is next?
