Case Summary – One-Adviser Firm Data Cleanse & MI Preparation

Case summary

On 30th January, we were referred a single-adviser firm by a large, acquisition-active Advice Firm that was considering them as a potential acquisition target. Despite using Intelliflo Office, the firm had minimal usable data—only basic client information was available, with no meaningful MI data in place.

Our objective was to bring the firm’s data up to a standard that met the acquiring firm’s requirements.

This included:

  • Producing 12 months of income/fee reconciliations
  • Obtaining accurate, up-to-date valuations and AUM
  • Ensuring accurate service statuses across the client base
  • Performing a thorough data cleanse of client and plan data

As of 22nd April, significant progress has been achieved:

  • All 12 months of income have been fully reconciled
  • The firm now reports over £40 million in funds under management
  • Service statuses have been updated for all clients
  • Multiple data cleanse activities have been completed, leveraging provider download integrations

This transformation brings the firm’s data and MI quality in line with acquisition-readiness standards, positioning them strongly for further discussions with the acquiring firm.
